Starting Salary: £12.35ph up to 6pm and £13.10ph after 6pm (Higher hourly rate depending on experience)

Hours: You will do Perm PM shifts: Tuesday to Friday from 14:45 to 23:00 // Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00

Overview:
Everest People Solutions is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join a dynamic production team. This role involves overseeing production operatives and ensuring that the production process meets both customer requirements and safety targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of 20-25 operatives, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and cost-effectively. We are looking for Team Leaders, Line Leaders, Area Controllers, and experienced Supervisors from a food production environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Supervise a shift of production operators, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
2. Monitor key performance indicators including line rates, quality, and yield. Implement ideas to improve performance and reduce costs.
3. Ensure all staff are fully trained according to task procedures and individual needs. Engage and motivate the team through regular mentoring and performance evaluations.
4. Oversee the setup and operation of production lines, ensuring products meet customer specifications and production targets.
5. Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all relevant safety standards. Report and address any non-conformances promptly.
6. Review and improve line performance, implement new initiatives, and minimize downtime.
7. Work with cross-functional teams including QA, Production Managers, and other Supervisors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality standards.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a team leader, line leader, or supervisor role within a food production environment is essential.
2. Experience in the food production industry.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills - training will be given.
4. Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
5. Commitment to health and safety standards.
6. Proficiency in IT, including the use of production management software.
7. Knowledge of HACCP and GMP principles is desirable.
8. Certification in Health and Safety is desirable.
