Executive Summary:
Our client, a reputable young persons service, is looking for a Team Leader on a permanent basis, where your passion for youth support will have a tangible impact. Your role will encompass leading a dedicated team, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency, and empowering young people to thrive independently. Responsibilities:
1. Lead a dynamic team dedicated to youth empowerment and support.
2. Drive quality service delivery in accordance with Ofsted standards.
3. Champion the growth and independence of young people on their journey to leaving care.
Preferred Requirements:
1. Proven experience in team leadership, particularly within youth support services.
2. Familiarity with Ofsted standards and requirements is essential.
3. Ability to create and maintain high-quality, person-centered support plans.
4. Experience in risk assessment and management for young people.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
Day to Day Duties:
1. Managing a team of staff who are involved in the direct support of the young people.
2. Building good relationships with professionals and agencies by ensuring the support delivered by the team is professional & timely.
3. Ensuring Young People and all those working with them are safeguarded by ensuring that all staff receive, read, and adhere to accurate risk assessments and have the relevant tools and resources they need to be able to perform their roles.
4. Liaising with stakeholders and ensuring accurate information is recorded, shared, and acted upon in a timely manner.
5. Taking an active part in team meetings.
6. Maintaining a high-quality service working with colleagues to deliver services.
7. Ensuring the delivery of safe, personalized services to each young person we support through assessment, person-centered planning, and regular outcome-focused reviews of services.
8. Playing an active role in assessment and management of risk of young people and liaising with other stakeholders as appropriate.
9. Taking a lead in the day-to-day running of the service including spending time with clients and carrying out audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field.
2. Comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policies.
3. Demonstrated commitment to training and staff development.
