EHS Manager Competitive Salary Package UK As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for visibly implementing high standards of environmental, health & safety compliance, and its related concrete batching operations & satellite operational locations along with the maintenance, update & implementation of the company EHS management systems. Key Responsibilities Maintain, update & implement management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) in line with systems providing required support to the internal and external audits Initiate & implement the company’s EHS policies to prevent injury, ill health, damage, pollution & waste Promote the company EHS policies & ensure that they are brought to the attention of all employees Understand statutory requirements affecting the company’s operations & maintain the business unit legal register Undertake/ record regular EHS safety inspections/ audits for all Rockland Concrete offices & operational sites Ensure all actions from previous reports are suitably closed out with identified responsibilities & timescales Take appropriate intervention action with any staff failing to satisfactorily discharge their EHS responsibilities Undertake incident/ accident investigations & compile suitable reports and statistics in a timely manner Maintain Project Site training compliance and ensure all staff are provided with relevant training Ensure Project site operatives & sub-contractors have a comprehensive site-specific safety induction Ensure all projects have suitable welfare & site setup facilities, compliant with legal requirements Ensure that up-to-date statutory safety notices are displayed at all relevant office & operational locations Ensure requirement permits to work are completed correctly & suitable for the tasks to be undertaken Produce, review and update risk & method statements and ensure they are suitable for operational tasks Skills and Experience Required NEBOSH General Certificate/ NEBOSH Construction Certificate/ NEBOSH Diploma advantageous) CSCS Card reflecting relevant occupational qualification Environmental qualification is desirable (i.e. IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management) Full, clean driving licence Sound knowledge of, and ability to interpret UK Health and Safety Legislation Effective time management and logical decision-making ability Capability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, prioritise workloads Additional Chartered Membership of IOSH (Membership registration and committed route to Chartership if not held)
