Xirgo Technologies is recruiting an Engineering Technician, who will operate in a dynamic role to support multiple product development teams. We are looking for someone who is excited to be hands-on with a wide range of IoT technologies, and who will go the extra mile to support colleagues and customers. The role includes the following responsibilities: Building prototypes Perform product and system testing including data acquisition, analysis and documentation Development of bench system and product test plans Reverse-engineering of vehicle bus data RMA failure analysis/root cause analysis POC/sample build support Programming and configuration of POC products Functionality testing Fitment of systems to trucks and trailers to enable the execution of system and product testing Operate company vehicles Liaising with internal departments in support of engineering project activities Travel to customer and supplier sites to support install/training projects Essential Criteria: HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or proven industry experience 5 years as an electronics technician, including working with vehicles Flexible and positive approach to work Proven ability to work collaboratively Full clean driving license Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience using Microsoft Office tools and other packages such as Jira/Confluence Self-driven, innovative and capable of independent thought Desirable Criteria: Category C/CE driving license Knowledge of asset/vehicle telematics industry or previous experience in the sector Willingness to undertake any training or education associated with the role as it may develop Previous PCB fault diagnostics and soldering experience We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
