We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Team Manager to join our People and OD team at Manchester Met. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with a strong background in employee relations to manage and mentor a team of ER Advisors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ER services across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of ER Advisors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to deliver excellent ER services.
2. Oversee the handling of complex employee relations issues.
3. Act as a key point of escalation for complex ER issues and employee complaints.
4. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, case law, and University policy.
5. Analyse employee relations data and trends, providing proactive solutions to enhance processes and services.
6. Develop and deliver ER training and workshops for managers and employees.
7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of manager guidance, policies, and procedures.
8. Support the management of Trade Union relationships and assist in Employment Tribunal cases.
The Ideal Candidate:
9. Proven leadership experience in managing a team in an ER or HR environment.
10. Strong understanding of employment legislation, best practice, and HR processes.
11. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to analyse data and implement improvements to ER services.
13. Experience in providing ER training and managing employee relations within a large organisation.
