The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manage r to lead our inspection activities in Clevedon. This role is integral to maintaining our high standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving business growth. The successful candidate will oversee the operational management of inspection services while fostering strong relationships with clients and ensuring efficient resource allocation Key Responsibilities Oversee operational management of inspection activities within the designated geographical area, ensuring compliance with Applus Inspection Management System Develop and execute marketing strategies for inspection services, including proposals and tenders, to expand business opportunities Maintain and strengthen client relationships, acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution Ensure inspection activities are carried out as per contractual agreements and approved schedules. Manage inspection capabilities and resources, aligning them with company policies and standards Ensure all activities adhere to quality management systems and industry best practices Oversee technical staff, ensuring they are adequately supervised and supported Allocate technical resources efficiently to support ongoing and future inspection projects Provide operational and personnel support across other geographical locations as needed Take ownership of financial performance, ensuring projects meet sales, budget, and profitability targets Uphold and enforce company and site Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standard Maintain accurate records of all HSEQ documents and procedures Identify and address any quality system non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventative actions Collaborate with the NDT management team to drive improvements and innovation in inspection services Provide leadership in workplace safety and promote a culture of health and safety compliance Perform any additional duties required to support business operation Qualifications & Experience Essential Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Test, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector Strong commercial awareness with experience in P&L responsibility Demonstrated ability in operations management and resource planning Knowledge of radiation safety Desirable Experience within the nuclear sector Multi-site management experience Key Competencies Strong performance management skills Effective team collaboration Excellent communication abilities Customer-focused approach Leadership and engagement capabilities Strategic, forward-thinking mindset Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Commitment Champion and uphold Applus’s commitment to HSEQ standards Continuously seek and promote improved working practices Foster positive relationships with clients and suppliers Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Actively participate in company and client-led HSEQ initiatives This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional looking to take the next step in their career with a global leader in inspection services.
