Platform Property Care has an opportunity for an experienced Multi Skill Trades Plumber to join our busy Programme team as a Kitchen and Bathroom Fitter and help us maintain and improve our homes in Worcestershire. What could you be doing? You will excel at fitting kitchens and bathrooms – from initial install to completion, and you will be ensuring our customer’s homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard. Based in Worcestershire and covering our customers homes in Worcester, Malvern, Droitwich and Kidderminster, plumbing will be your focus, but experience in other trades will be needed to help this team achieve their programme of delivering a large number of planned kitchens and bathrooms. You’ll be working in people’s homes, so you’ll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You’ll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service. You will need to have proven experience of complete fitting and installing kitchens, bathrooms, and wet rooms, including all associated trades needed to do so - excluding gas and electric (carpentry, plastering to a high standard, minor brickwork, floor screening and tiling) as this will be your daily job. You will be able to carry out pre and post inspections and take full control of job completion including materials and liaising with customers, ensuring right first-time delivery. We want someone who has: NVQ L2 Plumbing is desirable but not essential if you have demonstrable experience in Plumbing, and Kitchen and Bathroom Fitting Experience of working as a plumber in the building trade either as a Plumber or as a multi-skilled Plumber You must be used to fitting kitchens and bathrooms and installed and completed many of these in the past; this will be your main job, and this is essential for you to be considered for this role Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council You will be a true Multi Skill Trades Operative with associated trade skills of carpentry, plastering, flooring and wall tiling. Experience of delivering multi-trade work Good organisational skills Experience of keeping jobs on track The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently Full current valid driving Licence essential as this is a mobile role As you will be working within Customer’s homes this role requires a DBS check. There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.
