GSL Education is seeking to appoint a qualified Sports Coach at an outstanding Secondary School in Manchester. Join our dedicated and enthusiastic team in September 2024 on a permanent, Full-Time contract.
As a Sports Coach, you will inspire students to achieve their full potential in both physical education and personal development.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess a wide range of sports and physical activities for students aged 11-16.
* Lead extracurricular sports clubs and competitions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
* Provide personalised coaching to support the physical and emotional development of students.
* Collaborate with PE teachers and other staff to create engaging and dynamic PE lessons.
* Promote healthy lifestyle choices and teamwork among students.
* Manage and maintain sports equipment and facilities.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities.
* Support school events and initiatives related to physical education and well-being.
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
* Previous experience working as a sports coach in a school environment.
* A passion for sports and fitness, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures in sports.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
