Job Title: Commercial Manager – Multi-Sector Focus Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager to lead and expand growth across multiple sectors, including Discount, Wholesale, Convenience, Retail, E-commerce, and Pharmacy. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships, optimize sales and profitability, and develop tailored growth strategies that align with both supplier and customer objectives. As the driving force behind category performance, you will take ownership of all aspects of your portfolio, from managing supplier terms to recovering costs associated with residuals and overstocks. Success in this role will come from your ability to communicate effectively, implement joint business plans, and make impactful decisions to achieve sales and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Growth & Budget Achievement: Develop and execute strategies to achieve annual sales and profitability targets. Deliver growth within your portfolio through innovative commercial management. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, while expanding existing partnerships using a joint business planning approach. Supplier & Customer Collaboration: Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and profit margins. Create tailored product ranges and promotional activities to meet customer needs. Inventory & Cost Management: Recover costs for residuals, overstocks, and out-of-date inventory. Implement processes to optimize cash flow and reduce aged or disputed supplier debt. Category Leadership: Represent the organization at meetings, events, and industry seminars to build a robust network of suppliers and customers. Provide customers with data-driven insights and solutions through a category management approach. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all activities related to medicines and medical devices comply with Good Distribution Practice (GDP). Maintain internal and external communication channels to promote transparency and collaboration. Marketing & Sales Tools: Deliver promotional materials, sales aids, and other relevant resources within agreed deadlines. Candidate Requirements: Experience: Proven track record in category management, sales, or business development within sectors such as Wholesale, Retail, or Pharmacy. Strong negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers to deliver win-win solutions. Skills: Excellent communication and decision-making abilities with stakeholders at all levels. Analytical mindset with the ability to develop data-driven growth strategies. Proficiency in managing inventory costs and addressing supply chain inefficiencies. Knowledge: Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, particularly for medical devices or medicinal products, is highly desirable.
