We are seeking a motivated Sports Graduate to join our secondary school in Rochdale, starting February 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for sport to gain valuable experience and make a real difference in the lives of students. As a Sports Graduate, you will work alongside our Physical Education (PE) department to support the delivery of lessons and extracurricular activities. You will: Assist in delivering engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their fitness, skills, and passion for sport Support students in a range of sporting activities, both in and outside of the classroom, including school teams, sports clubs, and after-school sessions Help to organise and run extracurricular events and sports competitions Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, ensuring they are fully engaged and achieving their potential in PE Assist in maintaining equipment and resources, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for all students This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and the opportunity to develop your skills in teaching, coaching, and event management. What We’re Looking For: A recent graduate with a degree in Sports Science, Sport Management, Coaching, or a related field A passion for sport and the ability to inspire and motivate young people Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain and demonstrate sports techniques and activities clearly A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to take initiative and get involved in school life A desire to develop a career in teaching or coaching, with the potential to progress into further educational or sports leadership roles All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
