Field Service Engineer - Heavy Plant
£20 - £23 per hour
Paid travel time from home to home
Our client works with prestigious brands such as Case Construction, Terex Ecotec, and Keestrack, delivering customers' requirements for all their Earthmoving and Recycling needs. The client has heavily invested in the company by opening new sites.
Reporting to the Service & Warranty Manager.
Duties:
1. Travelling to and working at customer sites servicing and resolving problems on heavy plant.
2. Liaising with the service team and technical support to solve problems and order parts.
3. Completion and submission of reports and hours.
Extensive knowledge on a variety of heavy plant including:
* Wheeled Loaders
* Excavators
* Track Loaders
* Shredders
* Screens
* Waste Handlers
Knowledge of the following brands would be advantageous:
Case Construction Equipment, Terex Ecotec, Keestrack
Competency & Understanding:
* Competent with reading/understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics.
* Understanding of in-engine aftertreatment systems, SCR, DPF.
* Good understanding of electrical circuits.
* Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Good IT skills.
* Good literacy skills.
* Good communication skills.
Qualifications:
* Driving License
* Apprentice NVQ level 3 plant maintenance or similar
* Quarry passport
* Passport to safety
* Air conditioning
The Person:
* Must be comfortable working as part of a team and on their own initiative.
* Must be flexible with working hours when required (possible late nights or weekend work).
The Package:
Basic Working Hours - 0800 - 1630 / 40 hours per week
Opportunities for overtime as and when required
