About the role
Warehouse Shift Managers required. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager 10.00pm-06.00am, 06.00am-2.00pm and 2.00pm - 10.00pm
Due to growth within the DC a new leadership structure and opportunities have arisen for 3 Shift Managers working permanent Earlies (x1 person) or Lates (x1 person) or Nights (x1 person) within the Warehouse Operation.
Leading & developing a team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement & efficiency, whilst maintaining and enhancing KPIs to achieve operational, financial and service targets. Adopting a Health, Safe & legal mindset at all times.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for leading & developing a team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement & efficiency, whilst maintaining and enhancing KPIs to achieve operational, financial and service targets.
* Take accountability and ownership for health & safety on shift and help to create a safety-minded culture on site.
* Management of costs and productivity, assisting the site to achieve budgets including controlling stock loss.
* Deliver excellent service level to our customers.
* Being a positive role model and leader to a team of Team Managers, Warehouse Operatives and clerical colleagues through Winning Manager behaviours.
You will need
* Previous experience of FMCG distribution.
* Ability and evidence of building strong and sustainable efficient teams (essential).
* Strong People Management skills with the ability to support, coach and mentor.
* Good listening and feedback / communication skills.
* The ability to work as part of a wider team to ensure delivery of service levels to customers.
* Knowledge & experience of warehousing management systems (essential).
* Working knowledge of employment legislation.
* Experience in managing operational costs and continual improvement initiatives.
* Considerable knowledge of logistics demonstrated over a number of years within a distribution environment (desirable).
* GCSE or equivalent.
* IOSH qualification.
* Attention to detail and proficient in Microsoft Office (essential).
