We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated children's nurse to join our team within The James Cook University Hospital Children and Young People Emergency Department.
Working as part of a caring and passionate nursing team, you will responsibly deliver direct patient care to a high standard in accordance with the Trust's established nursing procedures. Leading by example, you will promote the safeguarding, wellbeing, and interests of all patients and their families whilst taking personal responsibility for ensuring the needs of patients are met.
Main duties of the job
Care of the Paediatric patient up to 18 years within our new and developing area, including the Emergency Department and Paediatric Assessment Unit.
We provide care from the arrival in the Department until discharge or transfer. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and are looking to attract nurses who are forward-thinking and keen to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. We will support ongoing professional development through full preceptorship and opportunities to develop clinical skills.
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, be enthusiastic, well-motivated, and share a commitment to team working.
Registration with the NMC as an RSCN/Child Branch nurse is essential.

Qualifications
* Nursing & Midwifery Council Level 1 Registration in Children's Nursing
* Current NMC Registration
* Recognisable teaching qualification
Knowledge
* Experience working within an acute or community setting
* Commitment to evidence-based practice
* Ability to work within the boundaries of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
All successful candidates requiring DBS clearance will pay the cost via salary deduction from their first month's pay.
