Shifts include long days, short days, and nights.
Standard shift patterns are likely to be as follows but these are negotiable for the right candidates, to cover a regular weekly/fortnightly rota:
8am – 8pm
8am – 2pm
2pm – 8pm
8pm – 8 am (night)
Bank nurse positions – flexible hours as needed. Expected to do 1 shift per month minimum to stay familiar to client and with skills needed.
Regular day nurses and regular night nurses, however preferably staff will be open to covering sickness/emergency leave/annual leave.
About me:
I am a 33-year-old young lady who likes lots of different activities and exploring and engaging with the outside world. I have a passion for arts and crafts and baking. I live with my cat who is very important to me. I enjoy sensory play, soft play and outdoor activities.
I have autism and sensory processing disorder and rely on routine and consistency. I am normally a happy and friendly person who will require time and patience to get to know new staff. Due to the difficulties resulting from my complex needs, I can present with behaviour that may be challenging.
I have complex medical needs, which I work hard to be as independent with as possible. However, due to the varying nature of my conditions, I will need different levels of support in line with how I am daily. In summary my medical needs consist of:
• Tracheostomy
• TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)
• Hickman line for TPN and IV medication
• Jejunostomy
• Gastrostomy
• Suprapubic catheter
• Ileostomy
• EDS and associated conditions/complications
• Personal care
• Manual handling including hoist transfers.
Overview of role:

The role will involve all aspect of care and support including personal care and medical interventions as required.

Salary: From £27.86 per hour (supplements for nights and weekends) – To be discussed at interview – in line with knowledge and experience.
Driver required? Essential – manual clean UK driving license, as will be required to drive Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV).
Essential: Diploma/Degree in Nursing RNLD/RGN, Current PIN, complex care experience, autism/LD, and challenging behaviour experience

Days & Hours: Recruiting a team of day and night nurses to cover 24/7 care.
