The Instrumental Music Instructor will provide specialist instrumental music tuition within the primary and secondary school sectors, (including delivery of associated Youth Music Initiative projects).
The main duties of an instrumental music instructor include:
a) Provision of instrumental music tuition on an individual/group basis
b) Preparing pupils for performances and examinations, and assisting with their administration
c) Preparation of lessons and teaching resources
d) Assessing, recording and reporting on the work of pupils
e) Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils
f) Ensemble related activity
g) Ensuring effective liaison with Line Managers
h) Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development
i) Musical instrument maintenance
j) Any other pertinent duty defined by the Service Coordinator
