The commissioning of NHS community pharmacy was delegated to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in England on 1st April 2023 and a number of new services have been launched to increase patient access to a range of clinical assessment and treatments such as Pharmacy First, Blood Pressure Check and Oral Contraception services and more are in development and implementation stages such as the Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribing Pathfinder Programme. This is a key role within the clinical transformation of community pharmacy as part of the Primary Care Directorate. The role will be integral in supporting system wide collaborative working to facilitate the delivery of several work streams identified as part of the community pharmacy integration programme.
