We are seeking an experienced and strategic Web Content Analyst to join our team at the University of Huddersfield. In this key role, you will be responsible for advising content creators on best practices for optimising web content and improving user experience through data-driven insights.
You will take the lead in building and maintaining web pages, ensuring that content aligns with SEO best practices to meet key recruitment and marketing objectives. In addition, you will line manage a Digital Content Assistant, supporting their professional growth and well-being. The role also involves creating documentation, providing SEO expertise, leading user testing and A/B testing, and working with external agencies to ensure content compliance and tracking standards.
You will be a highly skilled web content expert with a strong background in content management and optimisation. To excel in this role, you will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong literacy and numeracy skills, and extensive experience using data insights (particularly GA4) to inform content decisions. You will possess expertise in SEO, including content optimisation, keyword analysis, and link building, as well as experience in visualising content through sketches and prototypes.
Advanced knowledge of content management systems, user testing, A/B testing, and content performance monitoring is required, along with an understanding of GDPR and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2). A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently and within a team is essential.
