Job title: HR Data Analyst Reports to: Lead HRIS Analyst Contract: Permanent Purpose of role: We are looking for an HR Data Analyst to join our HR team. In this role, the Data Analyst will be involved with the collection, analysis, and reporting of employee related data across a variety of Talent Management processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen on data management and providing meaningful data insight within a people function. The successful candidate will join our innovative and thriving business and be part of our strategic and advisory HR team. Part of the team’s responsibilities involve delivering people related tasks such as talent management data, benefits, people data reporting, and HR projects. The successful candidate will have a “customer first” approach and advise on and produce the required people data to meet firm and governance requirements. They will work on identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes, document procedures, and develop workflows. They will join a growing HR team of 17 that is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of all HR services for our 600 employees. They will be reporting into our Lead HRIS Analyst. The team is passionate about delivering a service that is accurate, efficient and compliant with documented and implied procedures. Team members deal directly with employees to provide information and resolve queries and also work with colleagues across other functions including Finance, Risk, Compliance and Technology. This role will support the HR team’s commitment to continuous improvement to ensure that processes and procedures remain accurate and compliant. Responsibilities: Responsibilities as a HR Data Analyst will include: Accurately produce and maintain required HR data reports, displayed in appropriate formats, in agreed time frames. This includes the delivery of the monthly management information packs for Board review. Ensuring that employee data is recorded correctly and is up to date through regular audits on relevant HR systems and trackers. Support the progress of our major HR systems transformation project. Maintain and continually review existing workflows in the HR systems and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes. Deal with requests for information, and create ad hoc reports for the HR team, other business functions, and management as required. Communicating with third party providers and internal stakeholders where necessary and helping with troubleshooting and any other business needs. Creating documentation on new and existing processes. Auditing HR system access and system controls. Assist with other administrative tasks. Skills & Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years experience in an analytical role. Experienced in data analysis, data manipulation, and process automation. A solid understanding of relational algebra and data transformation. Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel including, XLOOKUPS, IF statements, Pivot Tables, Charts, and Power Query. Inquisitive and fast to learn so that you can quickly demonstrate your proactivity to address problems and improve processes. Able to interact and build relationships at all levels within the company and third parties. Organised, with good time-management skills. Flexible, adaptable to change, and able to balance competing demands on your time. Highly accurate with the ability to produce work with thoroughness and a good attention to detail. Able to seek out best practice, challenge, and implement change. Desirable : Experience of working within an HR function. Experience in configuration and administration of HRIS systems including People HR, iTrent, GreenHouse, and/or Workday. Experience using SQL or Python for data analysis and/or Natural Language Processing. Understanding of Data Protection principles (GDPR).
