What you will do in your working day
As a Commercial Apprentice you will shadow and support members of the Commercial Department and assist with the procurement of material and plant, under supervision of the Regional Buyer / Senior Buyer.
Key Responsibilities
* Comply with all Miller Homes policies and procedures and procurement plans
* Take off and preparing material schedules
* Expediting materials ordered as required
* Managing plant
* Processing requisition orders
* Bulk order information entry
* Material budget entry
* Material tender enquiries
* Maintenance of documentation library
* Day to day consumables for site
* General office duties for the Commercial team
* Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner ensuring, as far as possible, suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed trading terms
* Collation of monthly plant hire data and communication of information to relevant Site Managers
