What you’ll do:
We are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance and Governance Team!
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Merchandise, this role is responsible for providing commercial support, analysis and insights to the General Manager - Building, Merchandise Managers, and wider team in the Bunnings business unit.
You will engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements, whilst providing financial expertise including preparing high quality, accurate and timely reports, and financial modelling for key initiatives and Business Cases.
This is a 10-month fixed term parental leave cover, based at the National Support Office, Burnley.
What's involved:
* Prepare and deliver timely and insightful analysis that drives decision making
* Prepare financial models for growth strategies, business cases, trials and concepts and ensure reporting is in place to measure the progress and success
* Contribute to the delivery of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
* Support the end of month process and help to drive process improvements in reporting, manual tasks, and ways of working
* Prepare regular post investment appraisal reviews, including Range Review performance, and collaborating with the Merchandise team to deliver recommendations
Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles, have experience partnering with a broad range of senior stakeholders across the business, and have a proven ability to work under pressure.
They will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage and influence stakeholders, and have a strong customer focus. Additionally, they will be a team player who is able to collaborate with others.
* Degree qualification in commerce/business with majors in accounting/finance
* Ideally you have completed or are close to completing your CPA/CA
* You have recent practical experience working in a finance or accounting function
* Previous experience in the retail industry would be advantageous
* You enjoy working with competing priorities and working with large sets of data
* This role will see you liaising with a broad range of stakeholders so excellent communication skills will help you to succeed in this role
