The Care Supervisor role in brief Our Field Care Supervisors take responsibility for ensuring our customers are receiving the care and support they need and deserve. The role is field-based which means youll have regular touch points with our customers on a continual basis. This involves conducting assessments and reviewing our service and our customers satisfaction levels on a regular basis. You will supervise a group of Care Assistants to ensure they are happy in their work, managing shifts well and of course that they are delivering the Conscience Care standard of care. You work closely with the Care Manager and Care Co-ordinator to make service plans. Qualities of a great Field Care Supervisor As Field Care Supervisor you have both a passion for home care and a want to further your career. The supervisor role enables you to step up the career ladder, whilst still being very much on the frontline of care. You will therefore have a caring and compassionate personality for both customers and your team members. Youll have an inner desire to ensure everyone is happy. Excellent communication skills are required as you will arrange your team and liaise with the Care Manager and Care Co-ordinator. The Job: As the Field Care Supervisor you will: Plan, direct, follow and deliver high-quality person-centred care. Ensure the service and its resources are managed effectively, economically, and efficiently. Nurture and mentor the dedicated staff team. Support with business development and continued growth of the branch. Carry out risk assessments and close work with the social workers, compliance team and care coordinators. Requirements: To be considered for the Field Care Supervisor role you will need: Experience as a Field Care Supervisor for a minimum of 6 months. Knowledge and understanding of all regulatory and statutory requirements, including CQC, health & safety and local authority requirements. Excellent people management and leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; organisational skills The Level 3 in health & Social Care would be advantageous although they are willing to support someone wanting to do their level 3. Requirements for the Field Care Supervisor: Care experience as a Field Care Supervisor or Senior Carer Driver's license and own vehicle Minimum 1-year experience in domiciliary care Ability to conduct care assessments and reviews. Eligibility to work in the UK. Clear DBS check 2 employment references within the last 3 years Responsibilities for the Field Care Supervisor: Conduct assessments, care plans, and reviews Provide on-the-job training to care staff. Audit MAR charts and conduct medication checks Lead and support carers Assist in recruitment fairs and open days. Participate in an on-call rota system. Start care packages and cover calls.
