Are you a self-starter who embraces challenge and change? Would you relish the opportunity to be involved in shaping not only the services that support NHS front-line staff now, but also in building the roadmap for the services that will support them in the future?
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for partnering with the Employment Services (ES) team in the development and promotion of products and services that drive revenue growth. The role holder will devise, implement and continuously evaluate the marketing strategy for our ES portfolio that delivers our income-generation, reputation-building and awareness-raising objectives. The role reports to the Head of Marketing and works closely with the ES Product & Service Director, the ES SMT, the sales team, product owners, and the marcomms delivery team.
We’re looking for an experienced and engaging B2B product marketing professional to join our team. We need a flexible, efficient, and cooperative candidate to collaborate with senior partners, showcasing marcomms potential and excelling in planning and executing.
This will be a part-time role of 22.5 hours per week. We want to give you the autonomy and flexibility you need so will let you define your working pattern. The role will primarily be home based but ideally located within one hour travelling distance to our newly refurbished Southampton office for regular meetings. There are nearby public transport links and free parking on-site and free breakfast available. Ad hoc travel across the UK to other sites will be required.
What you'll be doing:
* Deliver in-depth market, competitor and customer insight and analysis from commissioned research or published reports to inform product life cycle management, service value proposition development, sales opportunities, and business and marketing strategies.
* Source, develop, analyse and use data to inform market segmentation, sales pipeline management, and agile marketing activity.
* Implement multi-channel campaigns to attract leads and engage audiences during product life cycles.
* Work with the Product & Service Directors and/ or Product Owners to deliver training that empowers the sales team to engage with our target audiences quickly and effectively.
* Develop sales toolkits for each product to include customer personas, key messaging, competitor analysis, sales collateral, etc.
* Support the delivery of successful contract bids via the development of impactful messaging and visual collateral.
* Working independently, and in liaison with the marcomms delivery team, develop compelling digital and analogue content for a range of internal and external audiences (including clients and prospective clients, suppliers, consumers, key partners and internal staff) to tell our products’ stories.
* Develop, deliver and evaluate, in partnership with the marcomms delivery team, the line of business event and exhibition programme.
* In liaison with the marcomms delivery team, develop, implement and evaluate an ongoing insight and advocacy programme for clients, potential clients and key thought leaders that delivers case studies, testimonials, peer: peer recommendations, and informs service development.
* Collaborate with the Product Marketing Managers from other lines of business to share plans and takeaways, optimise outcomes, drive the best marcomms practice, contribute to the strategic evolution of the NHS SBS brand, and make sure that our audiences have a consistent ‘one NHS SBS’ experience.
* Own the line of business marketing budget, optimising ROI on all activity, and tracking and adjusting spend to mitigate any overspend risk through each budgeting cycle.
* Evaluate and report on all marketing outcomes against agreed metrics to demonstrate impact and value and promote agile working.
What you’ll bring:
* Proven experience of developing, delivering and evaluating income-generation, reputation-building and awareness-raising marcomms strategies
* Demonstrable experience in designing, delivering and reporting market and customer insight and research
* Demonstrable experience of planning, writing and developing accurate, compelling content for a range of audiences across a variety of channels
* Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, spoken & written)
* Strong stakeholder management skills, and the presence and personality to engage with, and influence, internal and external collaborators at all levels
* The ability to prioritise between sometimes competing projects, and the project management expertise to deliver successfully against multiple priorities at pace
* Initiative and drive – demonstrable self-motivation, energy and a can-do attitude
* Creative thinking, flair and an innovative view on design
* Proficiency in applicable software and programs – MS Office, email platforms, digital marcomms, design and social media tools
