Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our vibrant Newcastle office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a Payroll role where they have gained knowledge and experience of running end to end payroll processes and managing a portfolio of clients.
The Role
* Run end to end payroll processes for a portfolio of clients/schemes.
* Take responsibility for the completion of payroll processes relating to data entry tasks and activities.
* Gather data and information from a variety of sources, and carry out a range of data entry and basic analysis activities.
* Carry out standard and non-standard payroll tasks autonomously in a timely manner.
* Communicate clearly with Pensions Administration team members regarding payroll and pensioner queries.
* Provide support for senior colleagues regarding ongoing payroll projects and specific business development activities.
* Support the team with new staff members and provide training to less experienced team members.
* Identify errors and escalate issues where appropriate.
* Be proactive and take on personal responsibility for completion of tasks.
* Be a team player and a role model for all colleagues.
Your profile
Essential Criteria
* Experience in running end to end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients or large volume.
* Strong Maths and English GCSE or equivalent qualification – minimum grade C/4.
* Experience of dealing with high volumes of work.
* A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage workload effectively and independently.
* Communicate effectively to stakeholders and clients.
Desirable Criteria
* CIPP qualified desirable, not essential. We welcome those qualified by experience.
