People Operations Manager Walle - Whitechapel People Operations Manager Walle We're looking for a dynamic People Operations Manager to join us here at Dishoom. You'll be essential in driving forward the People Operations function based at Babu House (our HO) in Shoreditch. At the forefront of evolving our team experience, you'll ensure it's as seamless, effective, and as intuitive as possible. This is ideal for someone passionate about refining processes, leveraging technology to drive efficiency, and obsessing on how it works and feels for our people. We want it to be a point of differentiation that we'll be famous for. We are looking for dreamers that can make stuff happen, bringing ideas to life. This role will line-manage two People Co-ordinators and sit within the senior People Team whilst collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to understand and elevate our approach. What we need from you (what we think the next 12 months looks like but someone will come in and shape and redirect based on what they believe is important) Team management Helping people grow is really important to us, supporting their development and ensuring they feel valued and supported. Our People - Coordinators manage the administration function and are central to the operation of the entire people team, managing the full employee life cycle- an area that we see a real opportunity to elevate this year to get the team to be the best they can be. Process Review Continuously review and enhance our people and payroll processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and team experience. Identify and implement tech solutions that streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive efficiency for a smoother, more intuitive user experience. Tech and Automation Research, recommend, and implement tech tools to support smoother processes, drive efficiencies, and enhance team experience. Systems/ Tech management Oversee all People systems, managing supplier relationships, and being central in reviewing new people tech to see how it fits into our overall People Tech stack and supports a seamless team journey Policy changes Front footing people policy changes, pre-empting what they'll be and financial planning, what the impact will be on Dishoom and proposing what we need to do. ie NMW changes. Payroll Excellence Lead our payroll and tronc operations to ensure compliance and accuracy while finding ways to automate and reduce manual tasks with team experience at the forefront. Data & Compliance Ensure processes are fully compliant with UK employment law; including overseeing right-to-work documentation and sponsorship visas, as well as leveraging systems to manage data securely and effectively. Onboarding Shape our onboarding experience, ensuring every team member starts off with a first-class introduction to Dishoom. Collaboration Partner with stakeholders to create smooth, integrated systems and identify the tech that will help us do our best work. People Team projects : Continuously seek out new opportunities for improvement in our world, everything from onboarding to our broader people strategy. ? Skills & Experiences Proven experience in People process/systems management, with a record of driving improvements. A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to identifying and implementing best practices. Strong technical aptitude and experience with people tech stacks Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach and ability to influence change across teams.
