Summary: Job Title: Bodyshop Manager (Car Dealership) Location: Hartlepool TS24 7LD Salary: Basic £40,000 - OTE £45,000 Full-time and Permanent Our client has a turnover of approximately £250 million per annum and over 700 members of staff employed in 13 car dealerships and one dedicated service center across the country, giving the business both a national presence and a local community spirit. They offer a wide range of new cars and vans whilst providing a variety of used and manufacturer-approved vehicles to suit any need or price range. They are now actively looking to recruit for a Bodyshop Manager for their Hartlepool dealership. Job Purpose: The Bodyshop Manager will be leading a team of bodyshop staff. You will undoubtedly be an experienced people manager with a passion for building excellent customer satisfaction whilst driving forward profitable business expansion. As a customer-focused manager, you will inspire your team to provide the best possible services for the customer whilst ensuring the Company profit targets are achieved. You will be able to enhance the current team by providing support, coaching, and motivation to them. Key Responsibilities: Direct the daily activities of the Bodyshop, coordinating workflow to maximise efficiency and productivity. Foster a culture of excellence, leading by example to maintain top-tier quality control. Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and fostering lasting relationships. Manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability without compromising on quality. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of Bodyshop staff to build a high-performing team. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a Bodyshop management role, with a track record of success. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written. A thorough understanding of Bodyshop processes, including estimating and insurance company procedures. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry advancements. A relevant qualification in automotive body repair or equivalent is highly desirable. About You: Proven experience in an Assistant Bodyshop Manager / Bodyshop Manager role. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Strong organisational and scheduling abilities Ability to motivate and push team members to achieve exceptional results.
