Fire & Security Operations Manager - Northampton
Location: Home based (National cover)
Salary: £46,000 (includes on call allowance)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 45 hours a week
On call / Standby: 1 week in every 4
Job Purpose:
To support and plan the maintenance of ASDA Stores Ltd. Fire & Security infrastructure to the Company Standards in a cost-effective and efficient way. Analysing and evaluating current equipment and systems to ensure fitness for purpose and that they remain serviceable.
Key Accountabilities:
* Be the first point of contact for Supervisors and Technicians for system-related queries and escalations.
* Liaise with stores when problems arise and recommend solutions in conjunction with the head of department.
* Highlight deficiencies in service provided to stores and recommend improvements.
* Provide first line technical support for field engineers on all products and recommend fixes that can be carried out in the field.
* Assess new equipment installed and recommend training courses for Technicians.
* Accountable for KPI delivery for all disciplines covered by the Fire & Security team.
* Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and when on call.
* Identify non-repairable faults in equipment and propose corrective actions.
* Assist the National manager in developing annual Business Plan submissions for the customer’s asset replacement programme.
* Order parts as required, ensuring prompt fitment on delivery.
* Complete all paperwork required by the Company to measure performance of service and undertake surveys as requested.
* Support the National Specialist Services Manager on all technical, people, fire, and security process issues.
* Provide cover for the National Specialist Services Manager during times of absence.
* Complete specified reports and take action on any issues raised.
* Audit Fire and Security documentation and address any non-compliances.
* Handle Help Desk calls promptly and resolve issues effectively.
* Co-ordinate and monitor SITC / TITC audits.
* Carry out individual coaching sessions with Supervisors and Technicians.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)
* PC Literate
* Experience of managing a team
