Quality Inspector
Salary: £36,000 (including shift allowance)
Location: Bristol, BS10
Hours: 38 hours a week on shifts Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm (6am start and early finish on all shifts on Fridays)
Benefits: 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension 4.5% employer contribution, bonus, free parking
Company Overview:
Friendly and successful aerospace engineering company in Bristol is recruiting for a Quality Inspector who will report to the Quality Manager.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Dimensional and visual inspection of precision machined components.
2. Performing first off, FAIRS, intermediate, and final inspections.
3. Supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records for these activities.
4. Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Reviewing and interpreting route cards, process instructions, drawings, and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances.
6. Inspection, verification, and certification of incoming material and sub-contract parts.
7. Using all types of standard measuring equipment.
8. Utilizing CMM.
9. Dealing with quality issues and delivering practical solutions on the shop floor.
10. Working with reports in accordance with AS9102.
Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
1. A related engineering background, City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualifications, and/or specific quality-related qualifications.
2. Experience of operating CMM machines.
3. Approximately 5 years of quality experience in engineering.
4. Exceptional skills/aptitude and an eagerness to further develop their career in aerospace.
