We welcome applications for a qualified SCPHN Health Visitor to join our 0-19 team in Northumberland. The post holder will be based in Berwick, within an established skill mixed team. The team comprises of Health Visitors, Public Health Staff Nurses, and Family Health Practitioners to deliver the 0 to 5 component of the Healthy Child Programme.

The Health Visiting role is to deliver the Healthy Child Programme as part of a one team approach, planning, delivering, and evaluating an efficient and cost-effective service for an identified population. You will be delivering the National and Local Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social needs, working with partner agencies in a strategic, creative, and holistic way to ensure best outcomes for children, young people, and families.
The Health Visitor is responsible for leading and delivering the Healthy Child Programme against the 6 early years high impact areas, ensuring services are provided within the tiered model approach—building community capacity, universal, universal plus, and universal partnership plus.
They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to deliver under pressure while working in a rapidly changing environment.
