£31,067 - £34,314 per annum

Job Purpose
As an Assistant Human Resources and Organisation Development Advisor, you will:
1. Guide and Advise: Provide expert advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and terms and conditions of service.
2. Monitor and Update Policies: Keep our HR policies in line with legislative changes, addressing risks and concerns as they arise.
3. Recruitment Excellence: Coordinate and develop recruitment and selection processes, ensuring consistency and best practices throughout the organisation.
4. Training and Development: Design and deliver in-house training courses to empower our workforce and enhance organisational development.
We're Looking For Someone With
1. Experience: Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources environment and advising management on change management or resolving employment issues.
2. Awareness: A strong understanding of issues facing Local Government and the ability to research and contribute to policy development.
3. Knowledge: A solid foundation in employment law and experience in monitoring HR policies, recommending, and implementing improvements.
4. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to take a planned, systematic approach to tasks and meet tight deadlines.
o Proficiency in Word and Excel for presenting information clearly.
5. Qualifications: Part-qualified CIPD or actively working towards qualification.
6. Commitment: A dedication to Customer Care, Equality of Opportunity, and willingness to undertake training and development.
7. Flexibility: Willingness to travel across all sites within the authority.
