If this sounds of interest, please proceed on The Opportunity Due to a ramp up on project, there is an exciting opportunity to work on a highly regulated site as a Temporary Works Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have past experience in a strictly controlled environment and possess a strong knowledge of on-site safety protocols. Your duties and responsibilities will be Ensure that the TW supports the delivery programme. Deputise for the TWC in his absence Deliver onsite control of erection, inspection, maintenance (where required), safe-use, and dismantling of TW. Checking of erected TWs and control of their use, maintenance (where required) and dismantling. Produce and maintain a record of inspection during erection, use, maintenance (where required) and dismantling of TW. Ensure that relevant sign(s) are identified and attached to key TW that have higher footfall and/or risk such that they are identified by signage with key information, i.e. dates, SWL, Person whom inspected, person whom authorised TW; Undertake TW design assurance on project through conducting audits and regular meetings with the engineering and project teams, identifying best practice, areas for improvement and areas of concern. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers, managing their input in the design, development, pricing and delivery of technical solutions on site and in tenders Actively contribute to developing and sharing knowledge and best practice. Maintain personal expertise and knowledge.You will have the following qualifications & experience A strong knowledge of safety. Safety is a top priority. A deep understanding of safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory standards is vital to ensure that temporary works do not pose any hazards. Ability to coordinate multiple teams, manage schedules, and control costs while ensuring temporary works are compliant A strong understanding of structural design principles for temporary works Experience in identifying risks, troubleshooting on-site issues, and ensuring swift, effective solutions to prevent delays or hazards Strong communication skills Familiarity with UK standards such as the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015) and international nuclear safety standardsIt’s great if you also have the following Current BPSS Clearance Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) Training Degree or HNC/HND in related fieldThe setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
