Wood is recruiting a Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Manager (HSSE) to support our Process & Energy Service Line across the UK.
This role could be based in Stockton, Glasgow or Ellesmere Port's office.
Essential
1. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
2. Trained and competent Internal Auditor.
3. RCA – Accident/incident Investigator Training,. 5 Why / Helix / Taproot.
4. Membership of a recognised HSSE related institute. IOSH, MIIRSM, IEMA etc.
Desirable
5. ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSEQ or related industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
6. 8+ years HSE experience, preferably with some exposure to roles with supporting multi-contract/location portfolios.
7. Some experience practicing HSSE in the Oil & Gas or similar high-hazard sector is preferred.
8. Knowledge of HSSE standards and legal requirements.
9. Experience of working with Quality and HSSE Management Systems.
10. Experience leading a team is required.
11. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
12. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
13. Knowledge of internal and external audits and third-party certification audit practices.
