About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate with 3+ years' PQE to take on a varied caseload of employment law matters, including:
* Advising on day-to-day employment issues such as disciplinary processes, grievances, and dismissals.
* Managing complex tribunal litigation, including cases involving discrimination and whistleblowing.
* Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
* Advising on TUPE transfers, redundancies, and workforce restructures.
* Providing strategic guidance on equal pay, discrimination, and employee relations matters.
The role also includes involvement in business development activities, making it an excellent fit for someone who enjoys building client relationships and contributing to the team's growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional client service and legal advice on a broad range of employment matters.
* Efficiently manage caseloads, ensuring accurate time recording, billing, and WIP management.
* Actively contribute to business development initiatives to retain and grow the client base.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and deliver commercially focused solutions.
* Collaborate with colleagues and support the team's inclusive, supportive culture.
* Demonstrate accountability for personal and professional development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Relevant employment law experience and the appropriate level of PQE for the role.
* Strong commercial awareness and an ability to align advice with client objectives.
* Excellent client care skills, with a proven ability to manage expectations and deliver results.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including case management software and Microsoft Office.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to employment law and business development.
* Strong communication skills, with a friendly and collaborative working style.
