Package & Despatch - The Vacancy
We're currently searching for a Packaging & Despatch assistant which will include technical support to join our team. This role will not only service ID card production equipment including software support and integration but also require sales skills and the ability to build skills as a software integrator by building on our Information Management System and developing SQL skills to perform data queries directly on the database.
The role will mainly (90%) include a requirement for working in packaging and despatch departments, including logging in and booking assignments as required. This position could suit a person who has finished a degree in IT or college depending on qualifications and tests.
Technical Support - Key Responsibilities:
1. (Required) Good problem-solving/IT skills.
2. Requirement to put packages onto network and delivery system.
3. Support of internal computer network and server 2007/12 installation.
4. All Database manipulation and strong Excel skills.
5. Support VOIP internal telephone system.
6. 1st and 2nd line Customer facing telephone/remote software and printer support.
7. Support Windows 7/10 Desktop machines, software and printers.
8. Able to use remote software for customer support.
9. Provide the best level of customer service for our customers in the realm of ID production equipment, RFID technology, and a range of ID production software.
10. Perform maintenance on ID production equipment, such as card software, card printers and troubleshooting and training provided.
11. Proactively seek to develop your own knowledge on the ever-evolving technologies that exist in the smartcard and ID industry.
12. Maintain internal IT requirements.
13. (Required) Perform SQL queries to fetch a multitude of data directly from our databases.
Being a highly specialised industry, the perfect candidate will be keen to learn and integrate themselves into the role to the best of their ability. Previous experience in RFID or knowledge in this area would be a bonus.
