Environmental Services Operative PERMANENT 30,423.97
As the Environmental Services Operative, you will serve as a key member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the retrieval of bags from containers and the recycling of all associated waste. This includes managing all waste products generated on site, with full ownership and accountability for the collection, compliant disposal, and associated administrative tasks related to waste management.
The role also involves supporting efforts to achieve continuous performance improvements and reducing overall waste generation, contributing to the goal of becoming a waste-neutral facility, as well as completing all required documentation and spreadsheets in alignment with environmental responsibilities and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of consumables to production lines in accordance with production requirements.
The Key Requirements
* Experience in an operational role with packaging machinery or similar.
* FLT counterbalance (essential) / Reach Truck licence (desirable).
* Horizontal / Vertical Baler operation.
* Tow Tractor operation.
* Takes the initiative to problem solve, challenge & improve to deliver the agreed targets.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of the philosophy and functionality of all control systems within the manufacturing process, applying this knowledge and expertise effectively.
* Exhibit a thorough understanding of health and safety protocols and consistently ensure compliance with regulations.
* Possess relevant knowledge and proficiency in IT systems pertinent to the role.
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of Lean Processes and their application in improving efficiency and reducing waste.
