Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Double Day Shift, Monday to Friday!

Salary: £42,000
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
Working Hours: This role operates on an alternating shift pattern:
* Morning Shift: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
* Afternoon Shift: 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Engineer/Technician to join our team.This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-performance operation of our production equipment.As part of the engineering team, you will support the production department by providing timely, high-quality services, maintaining machinery, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all equipment is safe, serviceable, and performing to the highest standards.
* Minimize engineering downtime and respond promptly to machine failures and breakdowns.
* Undertake projects and assist with on-site installations.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with management and colleagues.
* Develop and improve planned maintenance schedules.
* Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively within the engineering department.
* Identify and address training needs or areas for improvement within the department.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills:
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Time-served (apprenticeship-trained) engineer.
* NVQ3 / ONC / HNC qualified in a relevant field.
* Experience in an FMCG environment.
Electrical Expertise:
* At least 5 years of electrical maintenance engineering experience.
* Fault-finding on three-phase control circuits.
* Experience with control systems (required) and PLCs (preferred).
* 18th edition
Key Performance Indicators:
* Reduction of mechanical and electrical downtime per machine.
* Timely and professional completion of maintenance tasks.
* Successful investigation and resolution of maintenance issues.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
* Comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
* Actively participate in health and safety activities.
* Identify and report risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage.
