Freight Forwarder - Remuneration Salary - Up to £35,000 Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch) 20 days (excluding bank holidays), plus 1 extra day per year after first full year of employment, to a maximum of 25 days. Auto enrolment into company pension scheme. Freight Forwarder - Job responsibilities The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling freight operations while also contributing to business development and sales efforts. Key Responsibilities: Manage sea freight import and export operations efficiently. Support and contribute to commercial sales efforts to help grow the business. Handle import customs clearance procedures. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight operations. Utilize and manage in-house forwarding software (Multifreight experience advantageous). Ensure compliance with relevant shipping regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance office operations. Freight Forwarder - Job Requirements At least 3 years of experience in sea freight operations (import & export) - LCL & FCL. Experience in additional trade lanes such as air freight is a plus. Knowledge of import customs clearance procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Experience with CNS & Destin8. Strong numerical, literacy, and communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to office development.
