Farm Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: £50k - £60k + accommodation and package
Been waiting for the opportunity to take the reins of a significant operation? Want to step up and manage a large-scale, high-performing farm? This could be the role for you.
What's the job?
You'll be managing 2,800 acres of top fruit and cherry orchards across Kent, overseeing 25,000 bins of top fruit and 1,200 tonnes of cherries annually. With one site under your control, you'll ensure smooth operations from planting to harvesting, leading teams of up to 180 seasonal staff alongside a core team.
The role requires balancing hands-on farming with the bigger picture, taking charge of crop husbandry, equipment management, and maintaining Good Agricultural Practices. The business is heavily invested in growth and innovation, offering you the opportunity to shape the role as the company expands. You'll work closely with other departments, having the autonomy to deliver results while contributing to wider strategic goals.
What do I need?
Experience with top fruit and cherries will give you an edge, but a strong background in soft or top fruit farming is essential. You need to know how to manage large teams and have a solid understanding of farm operations. This role is open to talented individuals with a passion for fruit farming, whether you're based in the UK or overseas. The company can assist with visas and accommodation for the right person.
If you're looking for a role where your expertise and ambition can make a real impact, this is your chance to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
