Job Description
Here at Gousto we have an exciting opportunity in the form of a Legal Advisor to join our small but mighty legal team here at Gousto. Reporting into our General Counsel, this role supports teams across the entire business, providing pragmatic legal and compliance advice. It’s a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial and legal matters and have a tangible impact on Gousto’s continued growth & success!
You’ll play a key role in making legal complexity feel simple, helping teams across Gousto to navigate challenges confidently. If you’re someone who enjoys varied work and solving puzzles with a commercial lens, while working in a fast paced impactful environment this could be the perfect role for you!
Core Responsibilities
* Provide legal and compliance advice across the business
* Draft and negotiate third party commercial contracts
* Translate and summarise legal matters into clear, actionable proposals
* Monitor and report on changes in law and the regulatory environment
* Respond to urgent legal queries in a timely, solution-focused way
* Manage relationships with external legal advisors, including cost control
* This role can be based out of our London or Warrington office
Who You Are
* Qualified solicitor (England and Wales) in house or secondment experience would be beneficial although not essential
* Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment
* Skilled in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
* Confident providing practical legal advice to non-legal teams
* Strong analytical thinker with a solution-focused mindset
* Excellent communicator, able to convey legal concepts clearly
* Able to make timely, thoughtful risk-based decisions
Qualifications
* Full qualified solicitor (England and Wales)
