This is a newly created role as a result of a significant, recently awarded tender, the role presents the Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to join a world-class organisation with renowned training and career development programmes and the chance to develop a rewarding long-term career.
The Role
* Working as part of a commercial team reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the QS will be involved with assisting in every aspect of the commercial life cycle of schemes including:
* Sub-contract monitoring and management, cost reporting and forecasting,
* Managing early warnings and change control, agreeing on final accounts with the supply chain.
* Stakeholder Management
* Cost and Value Reporting
* Supporting operations team with commercial advice
* Providing leadership to junior Quantity Surveyors
Experienced Required
* Suitable applicants must be educated to HNC /BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will be able to demonstrate experience working at Assistant or Quantity Surveying level within the civil engineering sector.
* The role could suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor or and ambitious Assistant QS ready to take the next step up the career ladder to Senior QS level.
* Project experience on civils, infrastructure or utility schemes is essential An understanding of NEC contracts and excellent presentation and communication skills are also essential
* Quantity Surveyors wishing to apply must be confident in dealing with stakeholders from different disciplines to establish a complete commercial understanding
