About the role:
This role will manage the Levy and grant verification function through a team of Senior Quality Consultants and protect the reputation of CITB by ensuring the right levy is paid and grant claimed by:
Providing matrix line management of a mobile team and issue caseloads of construction employers for the purpose of Levy and grant verification, including identification of non-conformances, malpractice, maladministration and fraud and taking the appropriate action as required by any product scheme requirements.
Implementing CITB’s verification strategy within own area of authority through effective audit planning, audit delivery and follow ups for non-conformances.
Providing an inspiring vision in area of responsibility of CITB’s business plan and cascade all information received corporately. Relay feedback up the chain to Line Manager relating to suggestions for improvement.
Working with the Fraud Manager to manage CITB’s compliance when Malpractice/Maladministration arises within the levy and grant products.
Providing technical support in own area of expertise to the mobile and desk-based verification team.
Supporting construction employers with information, advice and guidance on the correct approach to levy returns and grant claims through a customer centric approach to verification.
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
Degree or equivalent work-based experience
Experience of Auditing and/or Quality Assurance.
Experience of managing a mobile team
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative
Ability to manage conflict in difficult situations
Desirable:
AAT Qualification (Level 3 or above)
Auditor Qualification
ILM Management Level 3 qualification
Knowledge of CITB products
