At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people’s lives.
About the Team
One West is an independent function within the local authority delivering specialist professional services and due to continued growth, we are specifically looking to recruit a professional investigator to support our clients.
About the Role
Ideally, we are looking for individuals with experience in criminal investigation work who can work for us on a casual/ad hoc basis to support specific pieces of work.
As an associate Investigator, you will be required to carry out investigations on the misuse of the disabled parking badge (also known as the blue badge), interviews under caution, and prepare files for prosecution on blue badge misuse.
You will be given freedom to operate. In return, we expect a confident and focussed individual who can communicate well at all levels, not just to officers in One West but to the Clients they will be serving. We are looking for applicants who can offer a value-added service not a business-as-usual approach.
As an Associate, you will be employed as a ‘Casual’ with no guarantee of any work, paid based on hours worked with an additional 13% on top of the advertised salary to reflect that sickness or leave is not applicable. You will also have the added flexibility of working only when it fits your circumstances.
Much of our work can be delivered remotely but some travelling may be necessary (reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Council’s agreed rates).
