A leading Surrey hospital is now looking for an experienced Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join them within their dedicated cancer centre pharmacy.
As one of the UK’s most accomplished sites for oncology care, the cancer centre is a major treatment hub for people from all across the South East.
The on-site pharmacy plays a definitive role in supporting patients with their ongoing treatment and in helping to manage symptoms and complications through outpatient pharmacy services.
Aspects of your role will include ensuring prescriptions are safely dispensed (including performing final accuracy checks), resolving patient and colleague queries, ensuring adherence to secure stock management procedures, and overall helping to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their period of treatment.
ACPTs with a community pharmacy or dispensary background are welcome to apply.
This is a permanent, full-time role for an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician.
Monday to Friday only – no weekend work required.
Person specification:
(Essential) NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills or Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians
(Essential) Valid GPhC registration
(Essential) Valid Accuracy Checking certification
(Desirable) Professional experience within a busy hospital setting
(Desirable) Professional experience within oncology pharmacy services
