About the role
The John Lewis Partnerships National Distribution Centres play a crucial role in delivering 24/7 e-commerce fulfilment, which accounts for approximately 75% of our business. This vital function relies on the prompt and effective delivery of projects, services, parts, and materials, keeping our facilities safe, compliant, and reliably maintained.
Join our Engineering Team as a Trade Specialist, where your expertise in building trades will have an integral part in maintaining and enhancing our site infrastructure. As a valued team member, you'll leverage your certified trade background to deliver a range of in-house services, including planned, reactive, remedial, and project-based tasks.
Your skills will contribute directly to the maintenance and improvement of our dynamic building environments - both automated and manual. By handling building fabric maintenance and executing value-added modifications, you will support the growth and development of our engineering network.
At a glance:
* This role is based across our Magna Park and Fenny Lock National Distribution Centres.
* Please note this role is for 42.5 hours per week. The working pattern is 08:00 - 16:00.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Engineering Trade Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Engineering Technicians, providing essential support and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of facility systems and equipment to ensure continuous, efficient operation. You will support projects related to building fabric, fixtures, and equipment with a significant focus on projects across the different sites.
Essential skills you’ll need:
* Understanding of Health & Safety legislation in a commercial and industrial environment.
