JOB ADVERT – PART TIME CONCIERGE OFFICER, GATESHEAD – 12 months Fixed Term contract

About the role…
The Concierge Service provides door entry / CCTV services to our Multi-Storey blocks across Gateshead. The post provides residents with reassurance regarding safety and security of their buildings, working closely with colleagues in Caretaker / Neighbourhood Services and external agencies including Police and Fire & Rescue.
The main duties include:
1. Working in the concierge suite to monitor activities at access points, communal and external areas using CCTV (closed-circuit television).
2. Reporting and recording all relevant incidents such as Crime, Vandalism, ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour), Health & Safety Emergencies, working with partners and other services as and when required.
3. Control and observe tenant and visitor access to and from the Multi-Storey blocks using door entry system / handset.
4. Check the functionality of alarm systems and CCTV equipment on a pre-determined basis.
Concierge Services are delivered over a 12-week shift pattern during the following times:
Monday to Thursday: 08:00am until 22:00pm
Friday and Saturday: 08:00am until Midnight
Sunday: 11:00am until 20:00pm
The part-time Concierge post is for 19 hours per week and will be split across the 6-week shift pattern which includes evening and weekend working.
