Engineering Manager (NI) Overview:
Join our dynamic team as an Engineering Manager, where you'll lead and inspire our talented staff across various teams, ensuring our facilities and processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Guide and develop teams in Facilities and Process Maintenance, Critical Utilities, Process Engineering, and Equipment Validation, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and high performance.
2. Systems and Equipment Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of building systems and production equipment, from acquisition and installation to operation and maintenance.
3. Financial Management: Oversee engineering finances, analyze data, prepare and manage budgets, and monitor expenditures to control costs effectively.
4. Capital Projects: Develop and implement capital projects, identifying areas for engineering and financial improvements while ensuring equipment reliability and availability.
5. Project Implementation: Lead the creation and development of advanced production machines and auxiliary equipment, ensuring successful project execution.
6. Project Prioritization: Prioritize and delegate engineering projects to the appropriate teams for timely and efficient completion.
7. Efficiency Strategies: Create and implement systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on Reliability-Centered Maintenance and Equipment Reliability.
9. Failure Investigation: Investigate equipment failures and implement preventive measures to avoid future issues.
10. Objective Management: Manage all engineering aspects to meet departmental objectives and drive overall success.
11. Compliance and Safety: Develop and enforce procedures to meet safety, regulatory, and financial requirements, ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety standards.
12. New Technologies: Oversee the introduction of new equipment, capital expenditures, and process improvement technologies safely and effectively.
13. Support and Improvement: Facilitate new product introductions, technology transfers, and ongoing process engineering improvements across the site.
14. System Development: Continuously improve and maintain engineering systems, processes, and tools.
15. Quality Control: Ensure quality systems and metrics are consistently upheld within the Engineering Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience. At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, chemical manufacturing, or other regulated environments. Familiarity with plant systems used in pharmaceutical GMP production, such as clean steam, Water for Injection, and autoclaves. Experience in budgeting, capital investment, and expenditure management. Knowledge of GMP, Quality System Regulation, and ISO requirements. Proficiency in Six Sigma and project management. Proven leadership experience, including managing engineering or maintenance teams. Exceptional leadership skills with a strong track record of developing direct reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
