Job Title: Supervisor – Days
Shift Pattern: 0700 – 1900 (Days) (4 On / 4 Off Rota)
Hours: 38.5 Hours/Week
Rate of Pay: £12.55/Hour
Status: Full Time / Permanent
Reporting To: Site Operations Manager
ABM Facility Services UK is looking to recruit Supervisors on a full-time permanent basis for a high-profile client within the Wynyard area. The successful candidate will support the Site Operations Manager and Senior Supervisor in the delivery of the operational management of the contract, ensuring that the operation is managed in line with company policies and procedures. The candidate will need to display the ability to lead and engage their team to deliver and be able to work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment that provides janitorial and waste removal services for the client.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Work within our janitorial and waste removal team in a warehouse environment, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently.
2. Lead and engage a team to deliver high janitorial service in welfare areas, such as washrooms, break rooms, and canteens, as well as social and production areas.
3. Oversee the handling of waste generated on site via approved waste streams.
4. Provide training to your team on the use of cleaning equipment and ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe working order.
5. Ensure your team is responsive to any spillages and callouts from the client's site team.
6. Communicate effectively with your team and line manager.
7. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
8. Work independently and as part of a team, exhibiting strong communication skills.
9. Undergo full training on all cleaning methods and equipment.
Person Specification:
1. Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements or willingness to learn.
2. Knowledge of cleaning methods or willingness to learn.
3. Willingness to participate in the company’s screening process, including a basic DBS check and random drug and alcohol testing.
4. Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial setting.
5. First Aid at Work certificate.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
1. Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
2. Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment.
3. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly.
4. Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.
