Job Description: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
The successful electrical maintenance engineer will need to be client facing and responsible for all electrical/mechanical maintenance and compliance. Duties will include:
1. Carring out scheduled PPM and reactive maintenance tasks in maintaining site assets ensuring equipment availability.
2. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
3. Respond to Building Management System alarms, and effect emergency repairs as needed.
4. Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
5. Ensure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
6. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
7. Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of task sheets – hard copy or electronically as required.
8. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
9. Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
To be suitable for this contract you must meet the below criteria:
1. Have a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
2. Be qualified to electricalcity & guilds level 3 or equivalent.
3. Have a good understanding of SFG20.
4. Supervise subcontractors.
5. Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references from work completed in the past 5 years.
6. Have your own safety boots and basic hand tools.
The shift and working hours are 8am-5pm/ Mon-Fri and the starting hourly rate is £25 per hour minimum.
