Job overview
As a Senior Technical Analyst you will be joining a fast paced and exciting Digital, Data and Technology team as part of the Architecture community. Supporting the team to modernise and transform the business, including supporting the delivery of business solutions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Are you someone with a keen eye for detail and has the ability to interrogate reported information and challenge sources where inconsistencies are found? Do you have the ability and experience to undertake feasibility and analysis studies to provide requirements at the early stages of projects. And could you then take that forward to provide functional design authority to support the delivery output.

Main duties of the job
You will make and support decisions that will impact the allocation of resources, pull together estimates and options across multiple work packages in order to meet priority objectives and delivery time frames.
Demonstrating excellent communication skills, influencing across multiple groups of people including customers, suppliers and partners you will form a deep understanding of wider customer and organisational needs. Participating in both internal and external activities in line with your specialism to keep your skills up to date. With a clear ability to rationalise complex technical information, you will transform this information, making it understandable for others to work with.
Engaging with stakeholders, you will facilitate and foster collaborative approaches, prioritise requirements and optimise resource utilisation, demonstrating a creative and innovative approach and advising on a number of standards, methods, tools and applications, so that the optimum approaches, standards and solutions are delivered to meet organisational objectives.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
In this role, you are accountable for:
14. Fully engage and contribute to delivery of projects, change and continuous improvements within multidisciplinary scrum teams.
15. Support the department by analysing propositions and assessing a range of factors including horizon scanning for emerging technologies, approaches, trends and strategies that would benefit the organisation, and inform how the strategic direction is set.
16. Monitoring and develop a firm understanding of new and emerging tools, technologies and products to assess potential value and identifying opportunities to enhance capabilities, products and services within the organisation, including how they are implemented.
17. Translating designs both logical and physical to support user friendly processes and systems, and communication of this across business areas.
18. Conducting impact assessment of "as-is" and "to-be" processes for systems, tools and technologies, identifying relevant risks and issues, and providing mitigating actions.
19. Undertake investigative technical systems analysis, facilitate scoping and priority setting of large or complex changes, providing options appraisals and recommendations, to feed into business cases, selecting the most appropriate means to communicate information.
