This role is ideal for individuals holding an LL.B in Scots or English Law who are eager to gain valuable experience in the renewable energy sector. Job Description:
What the role entails
Our internship programme provides a unique opportunity to experience life in a busy, multinational in-house legal team (split across the UK, Portugal, Spain and Italy), at the forefront of the renewables sector. You will have the opportunity to develop your legal skills, gain practical work experience and gain exposure to all business functions of a renewable energy generation business.
You will sit in our Legal team in our Edinburgh office, working primarily with our Head of Legal for Energy Markets (based in Edinburgh) but will also work closely with legal colleagues in other countries. The workload will be varied, but you can expect to take a leading role in the following:
* document management;
* contract drafting and review;
* legal research;
* supporting on legal projects such as the creation of a new legal Document Management System; and
* maintenance of company legal templates.
You will have the opportunity to support our energy markets legal team on live pan-European transactions for Power Purchase Agreements and CfDs, and undertaking research on legal and regulatory topics within this field.
