Wise Employment is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager for a well-established drinks distributor in the South West with an excellent reputation.
Basic salary of £55,000 to £65,000 DOE, with up to a 20% bonus.

Main duties include:
1. Manage, recruit, and develop a team comprising Account Managers, Wine Development Managers, and a Brand Activation Manager.
2. Achieve the agreed sales and margin budget.
3. Meet targets for new business, wine, and signature brands, while retaining existing customers and increasing their spend.
4. Enhance the efficiency of account managers by focusing on new business targets, margin-driving categories, customer spend, focus brand targets, and minimizing attrition.
5. Lead monthly sales meetings.
6. Build and strengthen relationships with key customers in support of account managers.
7. Conduct annual appraisals and regular reviews with direct reports, including field visits.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders such as Depot Managers, Operational Teams, Regional Managers, and the Support Centre team to meet company targets.
9. Identify and communicate industry and retail trends and activities.
The successful candidate must have excellent leadership and training abilities with commercial experience. A proven track record in sales and achieving growth targets is essential. Knowledge of the drinks industry and market trends is highly desirable. You must be able to demonstrate success in managing a high-performing team. Experience and understanding of hospitality retail is a plus. A valid full clean driving license is required.
